Marc Labelle - Photographer
I took up photography to fill up my spare time. The first 5 years on my current job I worked odd hours and had mid-week days off, so I needed to find something to do with my days off, when my friends were working. I bought a cheep point-and-shoot and took it when I was hiking on my off days. The better my pics were and the more people liked them, the more often I would trade up to a better camera. I recently traded up to a Canon 40D, and I love it. Not the top of the line, but then it is still just a hobby. I honestly know nothing about the finer aspects of photography like f stops, mm sizes, apertures, what lens does what, etc. I just see what I want a pic of, point and shoot. I think I really started photography and continue with it, based on my love for the outdoors and hiking. Every time I am on a trail and see something awe inspiring, I want to take it with me to share with everyone else. My favorite spots for shooting are Sedona, San Diego, the older sections of Philadelphia, and the southern New England states.
Take care,
Marc LaBelle
